Return Fraud
I had a printer die on me and left me with $ 150 in ink cartridges that I had previously purchased from Simply Ink and could not use again. They advised me via email to return the cartridges to them and that I would receive full credit toward future purchases.
Ninety days passed and they gave me an unending list of reasons why the return was still in process. They admit receiving the cartridges and that they were unused but they will only provide a 20% discount toward a new purchase.
I was promised that the Supervisor would call me to discuss the matter but that never happened. This company is a complete fraud!

Most ink cartridges received do not fit my printer
Ordered several cartridges.
A couple of the black ones worked so-so, but not for very long.
Am unable to insert any of the color cartridges into same printer, as they are an off-brand and cartridge is slightly different.
I vaguely recall having called them after receiving them because of the different packaging, but they insisted that although some of the packages of cartridges are an alternate brand, that "THEY WILL STILL FIT YOUR COMPUTER."
I should have tried the off-brands first, because by the time I had finished the HP brands (which did fit but did not have as much ink as others bought locally), I then fully opened all of the other the sealed package and discovered that none of them will snap into place, because there are some differently configured edges on them.
Now it's too long past return date, so most money spent on them was lost.
Charged My ACCOUNT and Recieved Nothing
We found them charging our bank account $8.95 a Month and received NOTHING in Return. They will not refund our Money and Claim it is up to us to use our benefits.
I tried to call the Number I can find and they will not answer the phone.
Actually got through twice and while trying to discuss what has happened we get disconnected. I SIMPLY BOUGHT INK FROM THEM ONCE A YEAR THREE TIMES IN A ROW and got no benefits as they claim.

The quality of the ink is terrible.
Very poor ink quality. It is very light.
stripes appear across our printer paper. Will not order again. WE have ordered before from simply ink. We usually buy the ink at Staples.
Once I even had the cartridges fill at at Walgreens and the quality was good. Walgreens no longer offer this service so, I thought I would try simply ink again but I am so dissatisfied. So I will probably try Costco and get my cartridges filled. You cannot continue to serve the public with this poor quality product.
The issue I also have is that I just told my friends about this service and now I have to tell them not to buy your product. And I also have to say sometimes you do not need one hundred words to explain the problem.

These bastards have sent me hundreds of unsolited emails and I have never even done business with them. Anyone that relies on spam to do business should be taken off the net and put in front of the wall!

Simply Ink cartridges do not work
Bought several cartridges for my HP 7760. The color cartridges do not work.
The color comes out light pink. The back cartridges work for a few times and then the ink color turns light grey. I tried to return cartridges that were bought just over a year ago because they did not work when I took them out of a new sealed package. They refused to issue a refund if they are over a year old which is NOT stated anywhere on their website.
Today I am returning 2 newly opened cartridges that did not work and one that is sealed.
They are only refunding for 2 cartridges. I am sending back the sealed one because I do not trust their products any more.
SimplyInk sent me defective cartriges & in mis-labeled boxes.
I ordered ink on 12/15/10. I had to call back on 12/29 two weeks later because I hadn't received my shipment. It finally arrived in Jan of 2011.
Near immediately I found my Yellow Cartridge to be defective. I put it back in the box (even though I didn't need all of them at the time, I ordered 5 cartridges to get free shipping as SimplyInk ADVERTISES and ENCOURAGES buyers to do) to wait and see if any of the other cartridges were defective as well. When I replaced my Light Magenta cartridge; my printer rejected it. I discovered that what was packaged in the Light Magenta box was actually a Magenta cartridge! I put it back in the box and thought, well I'll give it another chance when my Magenta runs out. It Finally did, yesterday 10/27/12. Surprise, my printer rejected it as defective.
I called customer service today and was told that since I ordered so long ago they couldn't replace the cartridges because they were "out of warranty". What? Ink does not expire - unless it is left to dry. I was told "we don't encourage you to purchase more than you need at the time and there is a one year warranty on defective products". This is untrue as stated above, because SimplyInk does encourage consumers to purchase more in order to receive the free shipping and NO WHERE in all their bombarding marketing emails - which is the link to which you click from to order - do they mention a Limited Warranty.
The sales person scoffed at my "purchase so long ago" (1 yr 10 mos.) If ink is sealed, it can last indefinitely! These cartridges are manufactured in China - you can't tell me that they are concerned with the shelf life (there is no expiration date on the package) - What control is there to prove they don't sit around for longer than that before they arrive at our homes here in the U.S.?!

Sure they say their ink cartridges cost less and they do! The only problem is there is no ink in them.
Four cartridges, two color two black all without ink. Guess this is one site that is too good to be true. Spend a few extra bucks and buy from a reliable retailer.
Don't do as I did and trust some fly-by-night web site that offers to save you money on expensive ink cartridges. There is nothing like replacing your cartridges only to have them all be bone dry (actually, there was enough magenta in the color cartridge to print half a page.) Back to Staples for me!
Sent me the WRONG ink
I ordered my ink by the menu they provided but when my ink arrived the color was the WRONG ONE!!!! Now I have to spend MY money sending it back and won't get a replacement for at least a week.
SAVE your money folks.........go to WalMart or Best Buy and get your ink. These people are frauds. I doubt I can even send back the color ink. They probably won't take it.
As I look at the website for simply ink I see there are QUITE a few complaints. This will teach me to never buy from these people ever again.

I purchased 3 ink cartridges from SIMPLY INK. ALL 3 WERE FAULTY.
I tried to remedy the issue and they offered me a %15 discount to purchase additional cartridges, then a %10 discount when I spoke to a supervisor. They refused to even issue me a return label to send them back. I spent nearly an hour on the phone with them. The third person I spoke with, Shannon, argued with me for half an hour.
I told her repeatedly that all I wanted was a return address, not to debate, discuss, or argue the issue. Yet she just wanted to argue and restate what I had been told by the R.T. (1st rep) and Brian (2nd rep). She refused to give me an address for half an hour and even told that that I would not win the dispute with my credit card company.
She stated that I had waited too long to use the cartridges, yet the use by date is blank on all 3 boxes. She told me if I go to Dell's website I could see how long cartridges are good for. Funny, I didnt purchase from Dell, I purchased from SIMPLY INK. I wasnt informed that my call was being recorded and at the end of the call I asked her if it was.
Then I informed her that she legally had to inform me within the 1st 20-30 seconds of the call that it was being recorded and give me the right to refuse, and that she was to delete the recording. None of the 3 reps told me my call was being recorded, this is a violiation of Federal Law, but it doesnt appear as if they are overly concerned with Federal Laws, Customer Service, or providing quality goods or even ones that work at all for that matter. I got about 20 very poor quality print with missing lines and absent color from a combined 3 print cartridges.
DONT SHOP SIMPLY INK!!!! YOUR NOT SAVING ANY MONEY IF THE PRODUCTS DONT WORK AND GOOD LUCK GETTING THEM REPLACED.

My email address was passed on to many advertisers, Simplyink being one of them. I've tried unsubscribing many times from most of the advertisers to no avail!
I've "unsubscribed" from Simplyink many times over the last two weeks. I now receive an ad from most of them approximately every half hour.
What makes them think I need to be reminded every few minutes that they sell ink?
Do they think I didn't see the first one hundred ads? Do they think after being hounded every few minutes that I would ever buy anything from them?
In short, I will never, ever buy anything from any of these unscrupulous advertisers!
Simply ink ink cartridges printed for about 7 days
I put the ink cartridges in the same day I received them in the mail,I do not do a lot of printing, and the darn things, both of them, lasted about a week. I paid $22.89 plus $4.95 postage and handling($27.93) I could have bought a new one for a little more than that.Needles to say I was very unhappy.
I want my money ($22.98 back) or I will turn over to someone necessary for this type of refunds. I was so happy to find someone I could get this type of merchandise from, but also that would work for a few days. Really disappointed.

Empty Cartridges
I ordered replacement ink cartridges for a Lexmark 7600 all-in-one printer and received them in short order. I installed each cartridge and did a reset, clean and align.
When I installed the black cartridge, I thought that it felt light. It turns out that it was empty and the color cartridge registered as half full. I'm calling tomorrow for a refund and don't plan on using this company again. I'm not really pissed, but I do expect to receive the product I paid for and not some cheap rip-off.
Use them at your own risk. I just hope my refund is not half empty.

I mistakenly ordered the wrong size of laser ink cartridge for my printer. Because I do a lot of printing, I bought 2 cartridges.
Once I got them and opened the package, I immediately realized I had ordered the wrong one. They were much too small to fit in my printer. I called Simplyink.com and was advised that if I had opened the package no refund was possible but that they would give credit for the one that wasn't open. After asking for a manager she asked if the printer was used at all in my machine and when I replied no she said to send it back and they would determine if it could be credited or not.
I believe she knew that they would not give credit even though I suggested that they could return it to their supplier for repackaging.
I will positively be more careful in ordering online and even more careful in reading reviews of the business I am buying from. For sure it will never be from Simplyink.com.

I ordered some remanufactured ink cartridges for my printer from Simplyink and the first ones I got were not very good so I reordered and they received the order on May 7 and it is May 24 and I still have not received the order. They state in their add that it takes 2-5 days for me to receive them .
It is now 3 weeks and I still have not received them. I sent the empty cartridges and the check to LD Products in California.
I will not be ordering from them again as the quality is very poor.

It is my firm opinion that HP has built into their printers a system that causes their printers to act up when you do not use their ink. This should be against the law and probably is.
Imagine a car company that required you to only use gas at their company owned gas station and built it into the car, that it would fail if you defied them. I have some sympathy for them. The sale of ink cartridges is in the billions of dollars while they sell their printers at cost or less. It appears to me that the consumers are winning this little battle.
Genuine cartridge prices are dropping and special offers are being made. As long as they continue to make huge profits the war may be over.
